Monday 28 February is Rare Disease Day. Rare Disease Day is the globally-coordinated movement on rare diseases, working towards equity in social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis and therapies for people living with a rare disease. Myeloma is a blood cancer and a rare disease. Improved treatments are needed to deliver better outcomes for patients. The APAC MRDR provides an international platform to facilitate research into how to use available treatments in the most effective way.

Nearly one thousand participants are now enrolled on the APAC MRDR at 19 key sites in Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. Expansion to China is planned for 2022.
